The Shangri-La volunteer program is a community of volunteers working to improve and enrich the lives of Oregonians living with disabilities or disadvantages.

We believe every hour of volunteer service is a valuable contribution to Shangri-La's mission. Whether you have an hour of free time a month or ten hours a week, we invite you to join our volunteer team.

What do Volunteers do at Shangri-La?

Share Skills. Increase Capacity.
Play an instrument? Like to read? Have a green thumb? Great at data entry or organizing events? Most volunteer opportunities focus on helping a person with disabilities or disadvantages learn a skill or explore an interest, but we also need extra hands to help in our offices and at our worksites.

As a diverse human services organization, the opportunity to learn or improve skills is endless at Shangri-La. Consider volunteering with us a way to strengthen your resume, brush up on valuable skills, or explore a future career path.

Have Fun.
Volunteering is good for the soul. We aim to create a fun and caring environment where each volunteer can give, share, laugh, learn and be rewarded in a way that matters most to them.
