The Accessible Egg Hunt (held the Saturday before Easter)
Shangri-La's Accessible Egg Hunt is for people with disabilities of all ages and their immediate family members. Attendees can search for hundreds of eggs filled with prizes for all ages. The egg hunt is specifically tailored to meet the needs of people with disabilities. For example, a portion of the egg hunt field is on a hard surface so that individuals with walkers or wheelchairs can more easily get around to search for eggs. Volunteers are on hand to help support and encourage egg-hunters of all ages and abilities.
Thank you to Log House Gardens at Willow Lake in Keizer for being home to Shangri-La's Accessible Egg Hunt.
Better Together Luncheon
Designed to be an informative, fun and inspiring event, Shangri-La's 1-hour Better Together Fundraising Luncheon highlights the supports and services Shangri-La provides to help individuals with disabilities and families with disadvantages thrive at home, at work in their community.
Would you like an invitation to our luncheon? Please email: email@example.com and we will add you to the invite list.
Community Wiffle Ball Game (held annually in June)
Held each year at the Betty Wheeler Memorial Field in Newport, Shangri-La's Community Wiffle Ball game provides an opportunity for people with disabilities of all ages to participate in a friendly-competition wiffle ball game. Attendees can play on a team or cheer in the stands.
Capital City Cornhole Classic (held annually in September)
This outdoor, friendly-competition cornhole tournament held on the lawn of the State Capitol in Salem is a fundraiser for Shangri-La. Teams of two compete for top honors in their division. Attendees can enjoy good eats from local food trucks, participate in a cornhole challenge course, and enjoy craft beer from Salem Ale Works.
Holiday Wishes (held annually November - December)
Each year Shangri-La works to make the holidays a little brighter and a little merrier for the individuals we serve through our Holiday Wishes campaign. Through generous support from our community, each year we fulfill over 200 gift wishes from individuals served by Shangri-La.
